HSK: Specialized training for the Chinese proficiency exam
These classes help students study and prepare to take the HSK exam. We designed a systematic process that will help students build vocabulary, listening skills and other key areas that the HSK focuses on. These classes will progress students through a specialized curriculum that incorporates elementary, intermediate and advanced curriculum.
This curriculum focuses on the areas of listening, reading, comprehensive multiple choice questions, and writing as well as preparation for the oral exam. In class, the teachers will introduce the different aspects of the test so that the student can better know what to expect from the exam. They will take each section and help the student understand the best method for taking the exam. They will work with the student on pronunciation, vocabulary, grammar, reading, etc. Each of these areas is taught with the idea of being certain that student knows what role these areas play in the exam.
The students will also be given practice exams to better prepare them for the actual HSK exam. After the practice exams the teacher will then take time to go over the exam to explain some areas that the student might need to better understand. They will spend time reviewing those points so that by the time the student sits for the HSK exam, they will truly be prepared.
The student will also have opportunities to have specialized training and practice exams in individual aspects of the HSK. If there is a particular part of the exam that the student needs to develop more in, than the teacher has the option to work with that student in those special areas, be it vocabulary, listening, grammar or any other area.
With our individual classroom study option, the student is given a greater opportunity to gain the largest amount of knowledge and preparation for the HSK in the shortest amount of time. Our school has developed a specialized, systematic program that has a single director overseeing all of the teaching of the HSK. Each student will have a single director that will evaluate their progress and can direct the student’s teachers according to that evaluation. This keeps all of the student’s teachers on the same track and guarantees the student will achieve their goals.
The advanced training curriculum has a more direct focus on oral and writing. When this curriculum is combined with our experienced teaching staff, we always see very high scores on our student’s exams but especially in the oral and writing sections of the exam.
